Service Description

Learn how to demystify watercolor painting and have fun with this versatile medium. Thursday July 17, 6-8:30 PM $60 Please bring the following supply list to the workshop: -4 tubes of watercolor paint by Daniel Smith brand: 1. Phthalo Blue Green Shade 2. Hansa Yellow Light 3. Quinacridone Pink 4. Sepia OR a pan set of artist grade watercolors. -Pad of cold press watercolor paper, Canson XL brand is good, 11x15 inches, 30 sheets. -Sketchpad by Strathmore or similar brand, 9x12 inches, 100 sheets, 300 or 400 series. -Brushes: a flat brush around 3⁄4 to 1 inch, and several rounds: sizes including 10, 6 and 2. The Princeton brand is nice and they hold up well. -Artist drawing board OR a piece of sturdy cardboard or foam core: 14x18 sized to tape or clip the watercolor paper onto. -Artist masking tape roll OR 4-5 large metal clips to clip paper to the board support. -2 jars or containers to hold water. -Clean rags or paper towels. -HB pencil. -Pencil sharpener. -Erasers, both plastic and kneaded.
