Take a chance! This workshop is all about getting in touch with your creative side. More than any other art medium, watercolor compels you to experiment and discover surprises that will make you fall in love with the process. It comes close to those early experiences of working with clay or finger painting, before we had preconceived ideas of what art “should look like". List of supplies students should bring to class: -Cold press watercolor pad, 9x12 inches, 140 lb, 300 g, 30 sheets, Canson or another low cost brand such as Strathmore -Professional-quality tubes of watercolor paint; 5 ml size tube is fine from Winsor & Newton or Daniel Smith brands. Suggested colors OR use what tube paints you already have: 1. Azo Yellow 2. Naples Yellow 3. Scarlet Lake 4. Permanent Rose 5. French Ultramarine 6. Cobalt Blue 7. Burnt Sienna 8. Winsor Violet (Dioxazine) 9. Sepia 10.
