Intro to Sewing 4 Teens w/Nora Starhill

Service Description

Learn the fundamentals of sewing on a machine in this project-based class. Over the course of three weeks students will sew a tote bag as they practice how to use a pattern, cut and sew straight lines, and see a project through to the end. Hand stitching and applique techniques will be covered, depending on time. The class runs for three weeks on Tuesdays Dec. 2, 9, and 16 from 4-6 PM. All materials are included in the $150 fee. The studio has sewing machines, or students are welcome to bring their own. Designed for ages 12+ About the Instructor: Arlington local Nora Starhill is an experienced art teacher with a passion for sewing. She learned from her grandmother and took sewing classes at Laura's Sewing School. She has a degree in visual arts and loves teaching youth.
