Awakening the Artist Within

Service Description

For centuries, shamanic journeying has been utilized to connect with the unseen world to gain wisdom and insight from our helping spirits. To journey, one listens to the rhythmic sound of the drum or rattle to enter a trance like state to connect with this unseen world. During this class you will be guided on three shamanic journeys, where you will meet your artist spirit, a spirit animal, and retrieve a creative power symbol. In between each journey we will pause to journal our experiences and share with one another. After journeying we will create what we perceived using paint and collage. Please bring a journal, a yoga mat to lie on, a sleep mask or scarf to cover your eyes, a blanket or anything else to keep you cozy and a little something to place on the altar. A canvass board, and art supplies will be provided. No previous journey or art experience required.
